The Foxes Are Back!

As I headed to the trail cam last Wednesday, I heard a scurry-type sound in the bushes. Two of them actually.  I didn’t think anything of it; probably a mouse or a bird, I thought. Instead, I saw a fox … Continue reading

Fox Kit Chewing On Grass

While hiding behind a bush with my 500mm camera lens, I captured video of this fox kit chewing on grass.  I didn’t know they did that!  What great research to show students when I do school visits.

Fox Kit Research

The manuscript for Mystery of the Missing Fox might be in my editor’s hands for review, but that doesn’t mean the research stops.  Especially when it involves fox kits. Truth be told, even without the story, I’d be researching them. … Continue reading

Fox Kits Lost and Found

Okay, I admit it, I’ve been withholding information. I was afraid to show you. But you see, right around May 1st (not the date on the video) I was going through the videos, watching cute little fox kits tumbling all … Continue reading

How many fox kits?

I’ve only visited the fox den a handful of times, and recently I was lucky enough to catch either one or two kits peeking out from the den opening.  Last year there’d been five, so I admit to being a … Continue reading
